Review: The Shropshire Inn, Haughton

A short and not sweet review for The Shropshire Inn, Haughton.

Situated in Haughton, Staffordshire, The Shropshire Inn is curiously named after the neighbouring county of Staffordshire. An AA Rosette holder, their website claims that they “only serve the best quality, homemade dishes and specials”.

However, I cannot particularly attest to whether this fact is true. Although I have eaten at The Shropshire Inn in the past, it had been numerous years since my previous visit. And at this visit, despite booking a table in advance and the restaurant not being busy, no one bothered to take our orders, so myself and my guest left after waiting 30 minutes. No food or drink was consumed. They did not apologise. So I guess that’s gonna be a 0 out of 5 star experience…

Disappointing.
